Holy Spirit on Campus: Experiencing the Power and Presence of the Holy Spirit in Ministry
Description

Instructor
|
Details

With his last words on earth, Jesus made a huge promise: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you...” (Acts 1:8). As you step on campus, do you feel that you’re operating out of the power of God’s Spirit? In this learning environment we’ve created spaces to experience the power and presence of God, while learning how to replicate these experiences in the ministries you serve. We’ll teach rhythms that will help you biblically and theologically ground and debrief these experiences, so that your students can learn to do the things that Jesus did, for the reasons he did them.

Four Roots: Planting and Growing Thriving Community College Ministries
DESCRIPTION

INSTRUCTOR
|
DETAILS
|
---|
Community college ministry is becoming increasingly common in InterVarsity, but how exactly it's supposed to work can still feel like a mystery! You might be asking, "How do I even start a CC ministry? And once I've started it, how do I keep it alive?" The answer is, “The Four Roots.” Based on research from an Underserved Institutions project, this framework for CC ministry will equip and empower you with a clear roadmap in the four roots of campus leadership, campus rhythms, community partnership, and area support. You will explore each “root,” diagnose your CC chapter in that “root,” and learn tools to achieve the next growth step. This course is open for staff and volunteers who are already working in community college ministry or are planning to start working at a specific community college in the coming school year. |
