The Leadership Competencies are a powerful toolbox, skills that you can leverage in various ministry activities. They are the HOW, the skills that must weave through the execution of our daily responsibilities. The Core Activities are WHAT we do – the foundations to lay, the essentials to pursue, and the roles we must play.
The foundations, essentials, and roles will be where you learn and grow in the HOW of the Leadership Competencies. For example, you will need the leadership competency of Communicates Vision to be a successful Visionary Guide. You will also use Assessing Reality (Where are we now?) and Emotional Intelligence (How are students feeling about this change?).
