Growing Leaders

In pursuit of The 2030 Calling of becoming a thriving organization, Phase 1 of the Growing Leaders Project includes three management practices to ensure that ALL staff have regular conversations about their development. By creating systems for giving and receiving feedback, we hope that pathways for growth, promotion, and job mastery become transparent, diverse, and robust throughout InterVarsity.

Builds cohesive, mutually-supportive, diverse teams that apply their skills and perspectives to achieve team goals.

Develops partnerships of mutual trust with leaders and campus ministers in other parts of the organization; works effectively and harmoniously to meet shared objectives.

Communicates Vision

Discerns and articulates a clear, compelling vision, located within organizational purposes and values that motivates others to action.

Develops Staff and Prospective Leaders

Develops campus ministers and emerging leaders in the areas of emotional intelligence, spiritual maturity, successful performance, and career development.

Exhibits Emotional Intelligence

Cultivates awareness and management of own emotions, strengths, and weaknesses. Observes others’ emotions accurately and engages perceptively with others in diverse settings.

Makes Sound Decisions & Plans Towards Desired Results
